Armenia was one of the Iranian Satrapies in the Achaemenid period named Armenia. In an agreement with the Roman government, a branch of Arsacid royal family ruled there since the second half of the first century AD. Following the rise of the Sassanid Empire, Armenians who regarded them as usurper of Parthian power began their resistance to them in extending their power in this area. Acceptance of Christianity in Armenia during Tiri dates the Great in 301 AD led to the development of tensions between the Sassanid and Armenia; especially when some of the Sassanid kings at this time tried to impose Zoroastrianism in Armenia. Using historical research methodology and on the basis of the existing evidence, this paper aims at studying the Sassanid policy in Zoroastrianzation of the Armenia for political purposes. This paper will show that none of these attempts were successful and Armenia remained a Christian country. Nonetheless, it is shown that despite these religious upheavals, Armenians remained as a partner and collaborator with Iranians.}, keywords = {Arsacid,Sassanid,Armenia,Christianity,Zoroastrianism,The Battle of Avarayr}, title_fa = {ساسانیان و سیاست زردشتی‎کردن ارمنستان}, abstract_fa = {از اواسط دورۀ اشکانی که روابط ایران و روم آغاز شد تا اواخر دورۀ ساسانی، ارمنستان همواره به‌عنوان کانون اصلی مناقشات این دو قدرت بزرگ باستان مطرح‌ بوده است. این سرزمین که در دورۀ هخامنشی و تحت عنوان «ارمنیا» جزو یکی از ساتراپی‌های هخامنشیان محسوب‌می‌شد، از نیمۀ دوم سدۀ اول میلادی شاخه‌ای از خاندان پادشاهان اشکانی با توافق دولت روم به حکومت آنجا گماشته شدند. با روی کار آمدن ساسانیان، ارمنیها، که آنان را غاصب حکومت اشکانیان می‌دانستند، به مخالفت با آنها پرداختند. به دنبال پذیرش مسیحیت در ارمنستان در زمان تیرداد کبیر (سال 301 م) و سپس رسمیت‌یافتن مسیحیت در امپراتوری روم، مسئلۀ مذهب نیز بر تشدید تنش‌ها میان ساسانیان و روم افزود؛ در واکنش به این شرایط برخی از پادشاهان ساسانی چاره را بر این دیدند تا به سیاست زردشتی‌کردن کانون این بحران‌ها یعنی ارمنستان دست‌زنند.     در واقع، این پژوهش در پی آن است تا به روند سیاست زردشتی‌کردن ارمنستان توسط ساسانیان و میزان موفقیت آن بپردازد. برای نیل به این هدف تلاش شده است از شیوۀ پژوهش‌های تاریخی (توصیفی ـ تحلیلی) و بر اساس شواهد موجود و نظریات پژوهشگران، استفاده شود. در این پژوهش نشان‌داده‌خواهدشد که روی‌هم‌رفته ساسانیان نتوانستند در سیاست زردشتی‌کردن ارمنستان کامیاب شوند و این سرزمین مسیحی باقی‌ماند، هرچند که علقه‌های آن با ایران هرگز نگسست.}, keywords_fa = {اشکانیان,ساسانیان,ارمنستان,آیین مسیحی,کیش زردشتی,نبرد آوارایر}, url = {https://socialhistory.ihcs.ac.ir/article_918.html}, eprint = {https://socialhistory.ihcs.ac.ir/article_918_17e74727e2adaf6e679cf6de5479326b.pdf} }
