Investigating the impact of the legacy left by the Southern Railway in the city of Ahvaz(During the Pahlavi era 1307-1375).

Abstract
With the construction of the Transcontinental Railway in Ahvaz, various facilities, organizations, and institutions were built by the Southern Railway Administration with the help of foreign companies and firms. One of the important issues regarding this valuable railway heritage and relics that has been less studied is the issue of their historical developments, impacts, and consequences. Therefore, this article seeks to answer the main question by using the descriptive-analytical method and the method of collecting data from the documentary-library type and field surveys and observations, which is what the most important historical and cultural heritage of the railway in Ahvaz is and what historical, social, economic-commercial, development, and urban texture, communication, and cultural impacts and consequences did this heritage have? The findings of this study show that the most important railway heritage that was built simultaneously with the construction of the Transcontinental Railway in Ahvaz during the first Pahlavi period; include the central station, the black bridge, the old railway hospital, the eight-bunglow mansion, and the 48-family residential complex. Also, the development and expansion of the urban fabric and area of ​​Ahvaz from the east of the Karun River to its west, playing a role in historical events, facilitating communication and movement between the southern regions and the central and northern regions of the country, social convergence and cultural fusion, and economic mobility by helping to boost trade and serving institutions, companies, and various economic industries have been the most significant impacts and developments of this legacy.
